Identify the kind of audio interaction
A playback button lets you listen to an available audio result. A recording control captures an input. A live calling feature, if offered, would need a separate description and its own controls. A broad voice label alone does not establish all three.
Read the settings attached to the selected character and account. Do not assume an audio option is included merely because an avatar or written reply appears.
Check the path from the tab to the speaker
When text works but sound does not, isolate the audio path before changing account settings or repeating purchases.
- Start playback using the visible audio control.
- Check whether the browser tab or site is muted.
- Raise the device volume and verify the selected speaker or headphones.
- Check whether another application or connected device has taken the audio output.
- Record any playback error and test an appropriate second browser if necessary.
Grant only the permission the action needs
Listening to an existing audio result does not require recording through your microphone. A recording action can request microphone access, and the browser should identify the site asking for it.
If a request for microphone access is unexpected, inspect the selected control before granting it. Never use a voice feature as a reason to share passwords, verification codes or private recordings.

Is a spoken GirlfriendGPT reply a phone call?
Not by itself. Audio playback can be a recorded or generated result. A live call is a distinct interaction and would need to be identified as such in the available controls.
Must I enable the microphone to hear a reply?
A listening action does not need to record you. Grant microphone access only for a recording feature you intend to use, after checking which site and control requested it.
Why can I read a reply but not hear it?
Check the tab mute state, device volume, selected output and the playback control. Keep any audio error message. A functioning text exchange does not establish that the device is sending audio to the speaker you expect.
